Courtyard by Marriott Salt Lake City Layton

I worked at Courtyard by Marriott briefly but I can attest to the entire staff as being the best possible people to be around. The front desk staff are very friendly, courteous and professional. The Management are kind, smart and love their job. The housekeeping is very understaffed. I used to work in housekeeping. They take pride in their work (even though it is exceptionally hard!) and are always there to help your experience. Great hotel! Good working experience!

Week long stay here. Nice lobby. nice outdoor fireplace. Stayed in a king suite. Room furniture seemed very dated & worn. They clean every other night. But my second night of cleaning they replaced towels but didnt make the bed. Also felt like tub wasnt cleaned thoroughly - the sides of the tub were slimy when wet. Bedsheets were also placed on the wrong side - seams were on top. Also the shampoo bottle fell off the shower wall on my last night...seemed like the 3M tape didn't hold. I also am suspect of workout rooms that dont contain wipes or sprays to self-clean equipment after use. How much sweat is archived on those handles and buttons? On the plus side, hotel feels like its in the middle of everything Layton. Its decent place to stay, but I'll try out a different hotel. when next in town.

Is sounded super friendly and nice over the phone. When I got there super nice and friend. Next morning I asked how does the free breakfast work cause I got 2 free breakfasts on priceline. They said you order anything on the menu. You put your room number. And I made sure I wouldn't get charged. So the 1st morning I ordered maybe a little bit too much I guess. A breakfast sandwich and potatoes and bottle orange. 26$ My husband ordered Strawberry French toast bacon and eggs and bagel and soda. That was $36 The next morning we ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches potatoes a fruit Fruit cup a bagel and coffee drip. That was around 52. I was supposed to get reimbursed for all the breakfast. But when I called they kept saying let us talk with it back to you. So when I called today the lady said yeah we’re not paying all that is only supposed to be $10 for each person for each. They said that is ridiculous $100 for 2 people And all I can think is I know you guys charge way too much. How did God McDonald's buy my kid's breakfast in the morning. A being really really rude to me over A phone I would not recommend this place. And you stay there that’s super nice to you. The breakfast size are really tiny so it's not even worth the money. So at least I want my $40 reimburse to me. Just how she's talking to me today is not OK and it's not customer service at all. I did pay out of pocket for kids breakfast A cup of cereal and a juiceThat was around $8 And the 1st night I spent around $30 on a drink in fries. But those 2 are out of my pocket.
